Veranda extension and subframe repair

This job involved extending the existing roof on a veranda in Berrima, and replacing a number of posts, decking boards and hand rails that hat rotted. The first step was to reprofile an existing part of the roof to ensure it connect correctly to the extension, before erection of new rafters and beams.

New posts were installed along the wall of the house to support the structure. Additional posts were also installed under the deck due to the extra wind uplift the structure would now have to withstand.

Rotten posts were all removed and new posts put in, along with new railings where required. VJ boards were then installed on the ceiling to match the existing structure, before finally being painted.
